I have a single-handle moen tub faucet. Handle is broken.?
The screw in the middle of the handle rotates both right and left and will cycle the water off and on, but won't come out to allow me to remove the handle. The faucet is probably about 10 years old.

The Moen is a Good Faucet but, it takes a special tool to get that valve out, there's no way, if it's the one I'm thinking of, to get it out without that special tool. I had to buy one, I've changed many valves with it, makes it simple. It cost me $34.00 back then. They may be cheaper at Home Depot now.
