Can cats drink distilled water?
I'll probably sound silly for asking this, but is it a healthy option to give my cat distilled water from the jugs you buy at grocery stores? I've noticed that my cat has a tendency to prefer purified water over tap, especially noticeable when we used to have a Brita filter on our faucet and she would sit on the sink and drink the little drops from the purified end after we'd use it. I don't think she really drinks enough water, and so I'm trying to look for water that she'll drink more of. We no longer have the faucet filter and while I'm home from college there's no room for my Brita pitcher filter, not to mention it wouldn't be used at home while I'm at college.
Distilled does not have the minerals she needs. Buy regular drinking water..
